It is obtained by the reaction of 2- thiophene acetic acid with sulfoxide chloride. 2-thiophene acetic acid and sulphoxide chloride were added into the glass-lined reaction pot and heated in a water bath at 40-50℃ for 4h. The reaction liquid was distilled under pressure. After removing the remaining sulphoxide chloride and low boiling substance, the 2-thiophene acetyl chloride was obtained by collecting the fraction at 160℃ (0.67kPa).
